About Stacy

Stacy's mission is to create a safe environment for people to share their thoughts and feelings. Her goal is to facilitate change towards positive thinking and exploration of coping skills to promote empowerment.  Her passion lies in helping people cope with depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder learning disabilities, and adjustment to out of home placements.  Stacy is committed to implementing evidence-based best practices that are individually tailored to meet each person's unique needs in order to improve their quality of life.   

Stacy Bakas began her career in 1997 where she worked for the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department.  While with this agency she worked as a Job Coach, Mental Health Employment Specialist, and Counselor I, II, III.  In 2007 she transitioned to working with the school district where she remains employed on a full-time basis.  In 2014 she started working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern on a part-time basis.  She offers client's an opportunity to be seen after hours and on Saturdays.
